2024 Dcar summer test launched in Wuhan： 30 models participated, witnessing the rise of China’s new energy industry

On June 28th, the 2024 Dcar summer test was officially opened at the Wuhan Intelligent Connected Vehicle Test Ground. 30 popular new energy models such as Zhijie S7, Wenjie M7, and Xiaomi SU7 will participate in more than 10 tests in five dimensions such as battery life charging, summer car scenarios, and AEB active safety in the next two weeks, fully demonstrating the latest strength of China’s new energy vehicles and providing a reference for users to choose and buy.

This summer test will be broadcast live on Dcar and Douyin App to ensure that the test process is open and transparent. Dcar also invited new energy vehicle companies, industry experts, automotive experts, and real users to participate together, and joined hands with all parties to promote the standardization of the field of automotive evaluation, build a more professional, rigorous, and comprehensive automotive evaluation system, better serve users, and help China’s new energy vehicles develop upward.

Five dimensions, more than 10 subjects, 30 popular models participated in the actual measurement

According to the person in charge of Dcar’s summer test, this summer test includes Zhijie S7, Wenjie M7, Ideal L7, Xiaopeng G6, Tensei N7, Zhiji L6, Model 3, Han EV, ID.7 VIZZION, Lynk & Co 08 EM-P, Leopard 5, ZEEKR 007, Xiaomi SU7, Changan Qiyuan A07, Volvo EM90, Avita 12, Mercedes-Benz EQE, NIO ET5, BMW i5, Looking Up U8, Dark Blue S7, Jityue 01, Cloud, Tank 400 Hi4-T, iCAR 03, Audi Q4 e-tron, Haobo HT, Jietu Shanhai T2, Star Era ET, Haval Raptors PHEV. All test vehicles are purchased by Dcar at its own expense, 100% are new energy vehicles, and 80% are Chinese brands, providing a panoramic display of China’s new energy vehicle industry.

The 2024 Dcar summer test subjects focus on five dimensions of battery life charging, summer car scenarios, AEB active safety, intelligent driving safety, and new energy dedicated testing, including pure electric car battery life test, charging test, AEB six children crossing, LCC night large-scale car accident scene, three-way charging pile test and more than 10 subjects. Compared with the general new energy vehicle test, the 2024 Dcar summer test has a high proportion of intelligent subjects, and is closer to the actual car use scenario of users. Previously, Dcar and Central South University released the "Road Traffic Accident Scenario Analysis Report for Autonomous Driving Testing", which extracted typical scenarios and long-tail scenarios of traffic accidents from professional data and real cases. In this summer test, test subjects such as reversing children’s crossing, six children’s crossing, and large-scale car accident scene at night have real accident references in life. Dcar introduced these subjects for the first time in the industry, which can not only help users choose a better car, but also play a role in popular science.

Wuhan is a national smart car development highland, and the Wuhan Intelligent Network Connected Vehicle Test Site where 2024 Dcar is located is a national test site. According to Su Ruiqi, the person in charge of the Wuhan Intelligent Network Connected Test Site, the test site covers an area of 1,312 acres and is divided into nine test areas. It covers almost all road environments such as high-speed ring roads, urban trunk roads, township roads, village roads, and urban interchanges. It can be combined to form more than 130 test scenarios, and can fully simulate various extreme weather conditions such as "rain, fog, and electricity". The test site can cover all regulatory test projects of intelligent network connection. Relying on this site, Dcar Summer Test will bring users professional and rigorous test content.

Build standards with the industry, open and transparent throughout the live broadcast

In order to ensure the openness and transparency of the test process and results, Dcar 2024 summer test uses a variety of methods such as co-construction standards, full live broadcast, and instant Q & A to expand user and industry participation. Before the summer test began, Dcar had worked with more than 40 R & D, engineering, testing and other team leaders from 20 car companies such as BYD, Wenjie, Changan, Ideal, and Xiaomi, as well as experts from China Electric Vehicle 100, National Passenger Car Market Information Federation, Beihang University, and other institutions to fully discuss the summer test subjects, standards, equipment, and processes.

During the summer test, all test subjects will be broadcast live on Dcar and Douyin App, and the whole process will be open and publicly supervised. Dcar also issued an invitation to all participating brand car companies, and car companies can participate in the Dcar summer test subjects throughout the process and ask questions on the spot. In addition, during the summer test, Dcar will continue to launch a series of "Answering Netizen Questions" to answer questions raised by netizens in a timely manner.
