Shanghai and Zhejiang lead in the national swimming championships.
Xinhuanet Chongqing, September 25th (Reporter Liu Weihong and Zhang Wei) The results of the third final day of the National Swimming Championships were mediocre, with few bright spots. Four women’s events have reached the Olympic A standard, but it is not the first time. Shanghai team won 4 gold medals every day, and it has become a leader in the gold medal list.
The National Swimming Championships entered the third final day on the 25th. After nine gold medals were decided on that day, this competition has produced 24 gold medals. At present, Shanghai team and Zhejiang team rank in the top two with 9 gold medals and 6 gold medals respectively.
On the 25th, Zhu Yingwen, a 26-year-old veteran of Shanghai team, won the women’s 50m freestyle in 25.42 seconds, Chen Yanyan of Guangdong team won the women’s 200m backstroke in 2 minutes 12.68 seconds, Sun Ye of 18 years old from Shanghai won the women’s 100m breaststroke in 1 minute 08.67 seconds, and Jiao Liuyang of 16 years old from Guangzhou Military Region won the women’s 200m individual medley in 2 minutes 14.
The results of these four athletes all reached the Olympic A standard. In this way, except for the women’s 200m freestyle, no one has reached the standard so far, all the women’s swimming events in China have ensured that two or more people have reached the standard, and two people can participate in each event that meets the standard at the Beijing Olympic Games.
Shi Feng, a 19-year-old Shanghai swimmer, won the gold medal in the men’s 100m butterfly today. In this way, he and Chen Yanyan, the national team player, have won two gold medals. In addition, Shanghai player Sun Xiaolei won the gold medal in the men’s 50m backstroke, navy player Qu Jingyu won the gold medal in the men’s 200m individual medley, and Shanxi player Xue Ruipeng won the gold medal in the men’s 200m breaststroke. The national team still failed to achieve good results in the men’s 4x200m freestyle relay, and Zhejiang team won the tied championship.
It is worth mentioning that in the men’s 200-meter individual medley, Zhao Tao, a national team player representing the navy, was the first to hit the wall, but his performance was cancelled because of a foul.
