Although the displacement of the new 1.5T engine is only 0.1L lower than that of the 1.6T engine, more mainstream technologies are added, such as all-aluminum cylinder block, direct injection in cylinder and double VVT structure. Compared with the current 1.6T engine, the power of the new 1.5T engine is increased by 3kW, and the maximum torque still reaches 240Nm. But importantly, its fuel consumption performance will be better and its carbon emissions will be lower. It can be seen that the manufacturers attach importance to environmental protection, which is icing on the cake for the maverick or other Ford models.
