  On April 10th, local time, the World Trade Organization released the data of global trade in goods in 2023. The data shows that in 2023, the total value of global exports was 23.8 trillion US dollars, down 4.6%. In 2023, China’s export international market share was 14.2%, which was basically the same as that in 2022, and it maintained its position as the largest country in global goods trade for seven consecutive years.

  According to the data of the World Trade Organization, in 2023, China’s total import and export value was 5.94 trillion US dollars, 0.75 trillion US dollars more than the second United States. In 2023, China’s export international market share was 14.2%, which was the same as that in 2022 and increased by 1.1 percentage points compared with that before the epidemic (2019). China’s import international market share is 10.6%, which is basically the same as that in 2022.

  The World Trade Organization predicts that the global trade volume of goods will increase by 2.6% in 2024. However, in a pessimistic situation, the global trade volume of goods may drop by 1.6%.
